Born and raised on the mean streets of East Side San Jose, California, Jesse Martinez Jr., started his musical journey when he was 15, when he discovered a Funk, Soul, & Disco record collection belonging to his Uncle. It was at this moment that Jesse Martinez Jr. knew he wanted to be part of 'The Dance Music Scene’.
Jesse’s career in the music industry began in 1980 when he began playing for his friends, weddings, and promoting various dance music parties in and around the San Francisco Bay Area. Jesse has been instrumental in breaking both new music and genres.
This list of contributions to the Bay Area underground music scene is truly all relative to the fact of what has kept him moving forward and attached to his roots of dance music, and that fact can be summed up in one word, “passion”.
Jesse has a style that has been influenced by some of the legends of dance music, by the likes of Tony Humphries, Todd Terry, DJ EFX, Cameron Paul, and a host of others.
Jesse has co produced and co written and recorded a number of house tracks dating back as early as 1994.
Sergio “Latin Prince” Jimenez
is a truly international DJ and musical influencer with a background that reflects this through his experiences with record labels, radio stations and music promotions. His love of music began at a young age with exposure to a diverse array of genres. Latin Prince transitioned from focusing solely on DJing to also working behind the scenes in the music industry when an internship at 106 KMEL turned into him joining the station’s All Star DJ’s on air segment.
He continued his upward momentum with a series of high profile positions including a turn as associate producer at popular music trade publication HITS Magazine. He went on to become the Director of Rap Promotions at MCA Records (working with notable artists like Mary J Blige, Common and The Roots) and headed promotional campaigns at TVT Records where he helped to boost the careers of current industry stars including Lil Jon and Pitbull. Latin Prince also held the title of National Director of Mix Show West Coast for Universal Records/Motown Records Los Angeles. But, he isn’t just a part of the music industry establishment; he creates his own lane as well. After stepping away from the record labels he launched his own marketing and promotions company, Urban Jungle Music, where he continues to organize campaigns for new and established artists from major and independent labels. At the moment he works side by side with the artist Pitbull as head of his radio team.
In 2013 Latin Prince joined popular record pool DJ City as the Regional Director, East where he oversees the growth and development of their subscribers and manages artist relations with record labels. With his relocation to New York two years later, he turned his attention to a longstanding passion – music production. In addition to remixing audio and music videos from popular artists like Flo Rida, Akon, Diplo and David Guetta, Latin Prince also released the original song “Burn It Up” featuring the EDM group Nuthin’ Under A Million.
When he’s not in the studio, Latin Prince regularly tours across the US and abroad – often appearing at high profile events in diverse locales such as Nicaragua, Brazil, UK, Dubai, India, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Finland, Croatia, Macedonia and Germany to name a few. Most notably, he helped fans welcome in 2017 when he performed at Pitbull’s Revolution New Years Eve Concert in Miami. Latin Prince continues to maintain his role as an influencer in the US music scene and is a regular contributing DJ to Pitbull’s Globalization weekly radio show on Channel 13 on SiriusXM.
With a background as impressive as Latin Prince’s it easy to assume he would be content to sit back on his success. But this long time DJ and industry insider is still focused on pushing forward to new opportunities and challenges. Given his track record to date, the question isn’t can Latin Prince do it, but what will he do next!
Hello, I am Norman Anub, the Owner/Operator of award-winning Ultimate Sounds. For over 30 years now, Ultimate Sounds has provided exceptional DJ/MC entertainment in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. A passion for entertaining, skills in the art of beat mixing, reliability, and excellent customer service are just a few factors that sets myself apart from the average DJ. I believe in the quality of events, not quantity of events. Which means working fewer events to give you more attention and personalized service.
My valued client's happiness is a driving factor to continually grow and improve on my craft. Education & training are keys for success in the crowded DJ business so attending DJ-industry conventions, partaking in occasional training workshops, and networking in associations with event professionals are essential. In addition to being a 12 year member of the Bay Area chapter of ADJA (American Disc Jockey Association), I'm an active Board Member. Simply put, I LOVE what I do! Although weddings are my specialty, FUN private celebrations and corporate events are also graciously welcomed. And when time permits, I'm an environment-exploring, sports-lovin', Taco junkie.
